Celebration of Life

  • 11 photos
  • he eighth annual Celebration of Life was held recently at the Craig Kids Memorial Park, located at 23rd and New Jersey streets, in the Fall Creek Place neighborhood. Janice Holly, mother and an advocate for fire safety, wants the community to remember her sons who died in an accidental house fire in 1996 on the same street where the park is located. Her sons were Stacy L. Jingles Jr., 8; James A. Craig II, 7; Jamail H.D. Craig, 5, and Joshua D. Craig, 3. Bringing people together in love, especially children, is her continuing desire and helps her get through a tragedy that will never be forgotten. With a theme of celebrating life with children, area residents helped out with having fun too. The memorial marble park bench, bearing the names of the four children who perished in the fire, sits as a reminder of the unforeseen seen tragedy. (Photos/Curtis Guynn)
